ABOUT JEFFREY KINGHORN

Born in Connecticut and raised in
California, Jeffrey Kinghorn spent
nearly twenty years living in the
south, where he met his wife,
Deborah, both theater artists who
enjoyed varied lives as actors,
writers, directors, and designers at
the Dallas Theater Center.
University life followed which took
him around the country where he
taught at Virginia Tech, the
University of Tennessee, Florida
International University, and the
University of Houston.
Having majored in Creative Writing
as an undergraduate at San Francisco
State University and in Playwriting
as a graduate at Trinity University
in Texas, Kinghorn has written short
stories, plays, screenplays, and
novels. His plays have been seen in
New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia,
Washington D.C., Dallas, and
Houston.
In addition to writing his adult
detective series of novels featuring
Private Investigator Ted Mitchell,
Kinghorn writes for young readers, as he
continues to be inspired by the students
he teaches in Rochester, New Hampshire.
The Kinghorns live on a wooded acre
in a small New Hampshire seacoast
community, where the surpassing
beauty of the autumn foliage more
than makes up for the long, cold New
England winters.
They continue to teach and write,
and to care for three miniature
dachshunds, Bonaparte, Mocha, and
Pepper. |
